Most likely the first magazine cover for Arthur Ashe, the beloved African-American tennis champion, the first black player selected to the United States Davis Cup team and the only black man ever to win the singles title at Wimbledon, the US Open, and the Australian Open. This issue published a month after his first major men's title at the Pacific Southwest, while he was still a student at UCLA. Very Good, library stamp rear cover, ink mark front cover not affecting photograph, 3 pages with top corner creases, light soiling and wear to covers. . First Printing. Magazine. Very Good/No Jacket, As Issued. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
