The Vampires of Finistere, Peter Saxon (Rex Dolphin) Published by Howard Baker, London, 1970. First Edition. Small 8vo up to 9½" tall. Dark blue boards with gilt titles. Volume is in unread condition; pages remain bright and white. Unclipped jacket has some rubbing and is otherwise in fine condition. An exceedingly rare hardcover copy in highly collectible condition. "All the nightmare shapes of Evil, with only The Guardians aroused, aware and able to fight the Dark Powers on their own ground. A missing girl tourist, an archaic ritual in a town that time forgot and a legend of a sunken city draw the Guardians into their most desperate exploit, and a cataclysmic victory over vampirism, witchcraft, black magic, voodoo, sorcery". The Vampires of Finistère was written by Rex Dolphin and published using the Peter Saxon house name; it is one of six novels in the "Guardians" series featuring a London-based group of occult detectives battling the forces of evil during the 1960's.

SIGNED BY STEPHEN KING, NOT PERSONALIZED, and professionally authenticated by James Spence Authenticators (JSA) one of the most reputable authenticators across the globe. True 1st printing in VG+/VG- condition: text is clean and bright, possibly unread, boards look terrific for a 38 year old book but mildly soft on extremities. DJ has chipping and creasing along edges but cover image remains appealing and the book looks quite nice with a new mylar cover. First edition first printing of this horror novel. Made into the 1989 movie of the same name starring Dale Midkiff and Denise Crosby. SIGNED by Miko Hughes who played Gage Creed in the movie on the title page. "Now I want to play with you!" - Miko Hughes "Gage". Not clipped and has $15.95 price on dustjacket. Light edge wear. Earlier owners impression stamp on the half title page. In very good / near fine condition.

Each book is a first Avon printing Jan. 1983 through June 1983. Book 1 and 5 are in Fine condition with uniform age-toning. Books 2, 3, 4 and 6 are in Good to VG condition with uniform age-toning to interior pages and slight edgewear. Books 2-5 have faint red stamp on bottom of text block. All books have intact spines and are without interior markings. Scarce!

SIGNED BY STEPHEN KING directly to the front endpaper. Mr. King's autograph has been professionally authenticated by PSA/DNA and includes their ironclad full Letter of Authenticity (hologram sticker placed on LOA, not in the book). Also briefly inscribed with "be well" as shown. Gutter code "Z16" dates publication to April 1984. Book is almost as new (feels unread) with unblemished boards but prior owner's name and date are written on the inside front cover (does not show under dust jacket flap).
